Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026 · Contact: siyuan.guo@bitta.ai

This Privacy Policy describes how Bitta.ai ("Bitta," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our AI agent-presenter software-as-a-service (the "Service"). The Service allows you to upload content (such as websites, PDFs, and slides) so we can create AI agents that present that content to viewers via text and voice, including follow-up communications by email. Pricing is credit-based, and payments are processed through Stripe.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Name, email address, phone number, and other details you provide when you register or manage your account.
  • Uploaded content. URLs, PDFs, slide decks, documents, and other materials you submit so we can build and operate your AI agents.
  • Agent and viewer interactions. Conversation logs, messages, and related metadata generated when your agents present content and interact with viewers (including text and voice interactions, where applicable).
  • Follow-up communications. Records relating to follow-up emails sent on your behalf or in connection with your agents, such as delivery and engagement logs, to the extent we process them.
  • Payment information. Billing details and transaction records. Card numbers and other sensitive payment credentials are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card numbers on our systems.
  • Usage and technical data. IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and similar diagnostic information.
  • Cookies and analytics. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, and data collected through analytics tools, as described further below.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Build, configure, and operate your AI agents and the Service;
  • Process and use uploaded content to generate agent presentations and responses;
  • Send system notifications, security alerts, and account-related updates;
  • Process payments, credits, and billing in connection with Stripe;
  • Improve Service performance, reliability, features, and user experience;
  • Maintain the security of the Service and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries; and
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and those of our users.

3. AI & Content Processing

Your uploaded content and related inputs may be processed by third-party AI models and infrastructure providers (including, for example, OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate agent responses, summaries, and presentation behavior. We do not use your content to train third-party or our own general-purpose AI models for unrelated purposes. Processing is performed to operate your agents and deliver the Service as you configure it.

Conversation data between your agents and viewers may be stored so we can provide analytics, follow-up functionality, troubleshooting, and Service improvement, subject to this Policy and our agreements with you.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as described in this Policy, as necessary to operate the Service, or as required or permitted by law.

We may share information with service providers who assist us, such as:

  • Twilio (for SMS verification and related communications);
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, and similar vendors (for AI processing);
  • Supabase (for database and related infrastructure);
  • Stripe (for payment processing);
  • Email delivery providers (for transactional and follow-up email);
  • Vercel (for hosting and deployment); and
  • Other vendors we engage subject to contractual obligations to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process, or government request; to enforce our agreements or policies; to protect the security or integrity of the Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bitta, our users, or others.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and core Service functionality.

We may use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used, to diagnose issues, and to improve our product. Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate consent before using non-essential cookies or analytics.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of the Service.

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, role-based access controls, and regular security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Bitta team members do not access your uploaded content or private agent data except where you grant explicit permission, where necessary to provide support with your consent, where required for security or legal compliance, or as otherwise described in this Policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your content and agent-related data within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days, except where we must retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, billing and tax records, fraud prevention, or security logs).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us at siyuan.guo@bitta.ai. We will respond within 30 days where required by law, or as promptly as practicable. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

9. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, may provide you with additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete certain personal information, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information in the conventional sense), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

To submit a request, contact siyuan.guo@bitta.ai. We will verify and process eligible requests in accordance with applicable law.

10. International Users

Bitta is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to such transfers where permitted by law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us at siyuan.guo@bitta.ai and we will take steps to delete such information promptly where required by law.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate, such as by email or an in-product notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy, except where your consent is required by law.
